In 1980, Macario appeared on a very important show, Ustedes y Nosostros of Jorge Manuel Hernández. Radio formula was very influential to his career. That same year, he sang before the president of France, François Mitterrand, and president of Mexico , José Lopez Portillo, in the Salon de Relaciones Exteriores, in Mexico . Later that year, he sang with Prieta Linda at the Teatro Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo . He was invited to Nicaragua , where he sang at the Teatro Bellas Artes and the Palacio de los Deportes with the renowned group Carlos Mejia Godoy. On the anniversary of its independence, Macario was honored to sing before the president of Belize , Fidencio Marin. In 1981, Macario sang at the United Nations convention in New York .

Macario has also sung for celebrities such as John Travolta, Neve Campbell, Roy Dupuis and Saku Koivu. His voice has brought him to many places, from the island of Maui, where he was singing with the group Island in the village of La Haina, to Montreal, where he has lived many years and where he now sings exclusively at his friend's restaurant Casa de Matéo.
